The workshop part will also be conducted by: Wiktoria Batarowska, Krzysztof Dudzik, Kamil Gojowy, Karen Trafankowska CFSN, Sławomir Bronk. This year’s workshop chaplain will be Fr. Piotr Frey, OP. The Liturgical Music Workshop “Music of the Soul” is an event organized annually since 2016, dedicated to all those willing to participate in liturgical singing workshops. It is especially targeted at musicians and singers, both educated in this field and amateurs. It was established to popularize the beauty of liturgical music, its diversity and to connect people involved in musical initiatives in the Church. This year, during the long weekend in June, participants, under the watchful eye of qualified specialists and teachers in the field of music education, will be invited to implement a program that includes polyphonic singing workshops, choral singing classes (separate group), individual voice emission classes and the pastoral part: masses, conferences, confession, individual talks.
An integral part of the workshop is a guest concert that will take place on Saturday, June 18 at 20.30 at the Center of St. John. During this year’s edition, the Academic Choir of the Warsaw University of Technology will perform under the direction of dr hab. Dariusz Zimnickiego.
The Liturgical Music Association was founded in 2018. The group of founders of the Association has been successfully organizing the “Music of the Soul” Liturgical Music Workshop since 2016 and other initiatives of a similar substantive scope, within which we have the pleasure to cooperate from the very beginning.
More information about the workshops is available on the website muzykaliturgiczna.pl and in a Facebook event.
