Andrii Shkrabiuk

Greek-Catholic musician

A cantor, mainly occupied with Ukrainian-Slavik, Greek-Byzantine, Georgian and Armenian singing. He’s a choir director at the Armenian Cathedral in Lviv (since 2001), an employee and a lecturer at the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv (since 2006).

He translates Byzantine liturgical texts into Ukrainian and adapts them to early melodies. He’s an author of some Polish adaptation such as the Paraklesis to St. Nicholas the Wonderworker and the Paraklesis to the Mother of God. He also led workshops at “Song of Our Roots” – the Early Music Festival in Jarosław.
