International Extraordinary Music Workshop in Kraków, recording sessions of our Dominican music in the USA, annual workshops in London… Through its international activities in recent years, our Foundation has established many contacts with institutions and individuals who pursue beauty in sacred liturgy. This week we have „traveled” the furthest, at least, so far: all the way to Singapore.

The desire for in-depth liturgical formation unites Catholics from different continents and cultural contexts. We have already written a lot about our presence in European countries and the United States, but we also sometimes cooperate with liturgical formation centers in more distant places around the world. For example, the Extraordinary Music Workshop held by us in Krakow in 2023 was attended by the president of the Canto Católico Foundation from Chile, an organization for the education of church musicians and the promotion of high-quality liturgical music in the countries of Latin America. Today, we are pleased that the Totus Tuus apostolate from Singapore has invited us to cooperate.

This is a rapidly growing Catholic organization that, in a country that is only 7% Catholic, wants to deepen the intellectual formation of the faithful through blogs, podcasts, lectures (onsite and online), and – which is particularly close to our Foundation – through liturgical music. As Marcus Tang, one of the leaders of the Totus Tuus movement, explains, their initiative is “a Eucharistic renewal movement based on the principles of Truth, Reverence and Beauty. This apostolate seeks to cultivate a profound and ardent love for the Eucharistic Lord and the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

The goal of this formation is to give God the honor He deserves and to reclaim Beauty in all its aspects, especially in a world that no longer recognizes authentic beauty.” In addition to all their intellectual formation endeavors, the Totus Tuus apostolate runs a choir and a group of altar servers who provide professional assistance during their liturgies. The choir’s conductor, Ms. Corinne May, will soon perform in Krakow during the international celebrations of Divine Mercy Sunday as a part of a musical project “Symphony of Mercy“.

We are so happy to learn that the music created in the circle of Polish Dominicans and gradually translated into English is proving to be a universal language of beauty that helps people from so many places around the world to pray with the liturgy of the Church.
