We invite you to catechism about Christmas and its octave, which will be delivered by Fr. Krzysztof Porosło and Father Tomasz Grabowski OP. The second part of the meeting will be a conversation led by Elżbieta Wiater.
Meeting based on the book „7 mysteries. About the sacraments”, recently published by Wydawnictwo Wdrożeń, we organize in the Chapter House of the Dominican Monastery at ul. Stolarska 12 on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 20:30 – there will be a quiet moment to reach it after the December catechesis Liturgical “me”, which will start at 18:30 in the church of St. Go.
It will be an excellent opportunity to ask the authors for an autograph in the new book “7 secrets. About the sacraments”; the book will also be available for purchase on site, online sale .
How to understand the sacraments? We know that thanks to them we have access to the life of Christ, to what He did while living on Earth. Too seldom, however, do we think of the sacraments as God’s daily way of working in the world. Meanwhile, all seven sacraments ultimately have one purpose: to configure us to Christ the Lord. Tomasz Grabowski OP and Fr. Krzysztof Porosło introduce us to the Christian mysteries, passionately bring us closer to the sacramental reality, which still remains a mystery – although we commune with it every day.
The book was published as a result of the catechesis on the sacraments, which we organized once a month in the academic year 2013/2014, from October to June. Reviews can be found on our website Liturgia.pl.
Fr. dr Krzysztof Porosło – originator and co-organizer of the Mysterium fascinans liturgical retreat. He cooperates with the Dominican Liturgical Center and the Liturgia.pl portal. Recordings of his homilies, retreats and catechesis can be found at Baptysterium.pl.
O. dr Tomasz Grabowski OP – born in 1978, a Dominican, i.e. a preacher, a valued retreat giver, pastor, in the years 2004-2016 the president of the Dominican Liturgical Center, from September 2016 the president of the Publishing House of the Polish Dominican Province On the Road.
Dr Elżbieta Wiater – born in 1976, journalist, historian and theologian, blogger, author of numerous articles and books. She studied history at the Jagiellonian University and theology at the Polish Academy of Theology. She is fascinated by the figure of St. Jacek Odrowąż and the history of the Brothers Preachers.
